The works in St Pierre Square are now complete and the Saumur Saturday Market stalls have returned, adding colour and life back to this charming historic square.
The square is dominated by the impressive Church of St Pierre which was renovated a year or so ago.
Just a glimpse of the tall white stone building in the background of my shot.
We’ve enjoyed a couple of trips to the Saumur Saturday morning market this month. A treat as we won’t be able to go once our rental season starts next week.
We met up with our French friends, Pierre and Brigitte and had lunch in the square at Keatings. I enjoyed myself so much I omitted to take a photo – but we enjoyed some black Angus Argentinian beef (not very french I know!). This was followed by a creme brulee, very french! They say it’s the ultimate steak experience and the reviews speak for themselves.
Another lovely, sunny and hot day today. Hope you are enjoying the weather as much as me.
